For a creepy Halloween celebration, go in for this sparkly witch owl nail design for which you would need to paint your nails with a base coat of purple. Re apply as a second coat to add more substance. Let the nails dry and then, using a brush, make a semi circle of silver glitter in the middle of each nail. Draw the eye balls using white and follow it up with the hat, beak, eye dots and hair that have to be drawn using black. Draw the broom at the base of the owl design and sprinkle some silver glitter on the side. Paint a top coat.

2. Cute owl nail art tutorial

Begin by applying a base coat of any light polish like gray or cream. Once dry, use a brush and white to make a semi circular design towards the tip of each nail (thumb, pinkie and middle finer nails) to resemble the tummy of the bird. Fill with white and dry. Use a dotting tool and some white polish to make two eye balls, followed by black pupils inside. Draw black beaks as shown. Inside the tummy, draw feather designs using black. For the rest of the fingernails, make strips with white using free hand and draw hairy patterns with white and black eyeballs. Seal the design with a top coat.

Owl nail art with stickers look very beautiful and come in a number of bright colors such as the one seen below. Start by shaping and filing your nails, followed by applying a base coat of white on all nails. Paint another two coats for a clearer look. Now, for medium sized nails, keep aside your owl stickers. Peel off the vinyls from each sticker and paste the owl designs over each nail. Seal with a top coat of clear polish.

Dry, and then, using a brush and blue, make two circles, in the shape of an eight. On the sides, draw wings. At the center, make three dots as shown and shade it. Using a dotting tool and white, make two eye balls. Let the nails dry and then draw two back dots inside the eye balls, followed by half white shading inside the dots. Make yellow beaks and claws as shown. Coat with a clear polish to seal the design.

Begin by applying a coat of clear polish and once half dry, press nail reinforcers at the base of each nail. Paint with dark blue polish and dry. Peel off the reinforcers to reveal a negative space nail design, and using light shade of shimmery pink, make a semi circular design towards the tips. With a brush and red polish, draw the beak as shown. Use the dotting tool and yellow to make eye balls at the tip of the red beak. Draw black pupils. Now, draw small blue dots in the tummy area. Seal with a top coat.

Start by painting a base oat of nude polish on all nails. Draw the face of the owl using white acrylic. Now using a fine brush and white acrylic, draw feathers as shown below. Once the nails dry, take a brush and brown to outline the face design of the owl followed by eyes and the beak. Draw the outline of the owl’s body, and seal the design with a top coat of clear polish.

Owl nail art designs are in vogue these days and look cute just like the one we are showcasing below. Start by painting the nails with a base coat of green polish. Dry. Use a dotting tool and a darker tone of green to make polka dots on each nail except the ring nail. Use white and draw a semi circle design at the base of the nail followed by two eye balls. Using freehand and black paint, draw eyelash to depict a sleeping owl. Make the beak using yellowish orange and half moon shapes with lime green to show wings. Make green feathers as shown.

Apply a base coat of any light color that you like, except the ring finger nail that has to be painted using brown. Using white, make two half circles on ring and middle finger nail. These will become the body of the owls. Now, make eye balls using white on the ring nail’s owl, followed by two black pupils. For the middle finger nail, use black to paint the eyelashes of the sleeping owl. Draw the beak in yellow. On the body, make feathers using black and brown. Seal the design with a top coat.

The owls on index finger nail and pinkie have to be made using a darker tone of pink like butter London Primrose Hill Picnic. For the branch designs, use chocolate brown by Essie on other nails. Paint your pinkie, index and thumb finger nails with pink polish by any brand, and dry. For the other two nails, paint using white by Essie. Using a toothpick, make polka dots with white on all nails except the ring nail. For the bird design, use pink and make the body. Fill up with pink. For the wings and hair, use purple, while for the tummy patterns, use a shade of white like ‘A-Piers to be tan’. Make the claws using orange and eyes, using licorice. Dry and then, using a brush and red polish, make a half moon towards the base, filling the upper half with red. Draw the body of the owl in pink as shown in step number 3. Use a dotting tool and white to make the eye balls, followed with two black pupils. Put red dots in the body to depict feathers. Put a yellow beak as shown. Start by painting a base coat of white and purple on all nails. For the decal application on the nails, cut out the stickers and pour some warm water in a bowl. Now, place the sticker on the water and apply immediately over the nail bed, one after the other. Use tweezers for this purpose. No need for a top coat.

Use a brush and make a big roundel shape on each nail, first, using a shade of pink, while for the other, use a darker tone of pink or red. Create two wings as seen. Using a dotting tool, and some yellow, make eye balls on each nail. Follow it up with a yellow beak. Now, make heart shapes in shades of pink and red to resemble feathers. Make claws. For the branches, use brown at the base of the claws. For the thumb, make red hearts. Seal the design with a top coat.

Apply a base coat of clear polish on all nails, dry. Apply a coat of mint on thumb and ring fingernail, while for the others, paint two coats of brown. Using a dotting tool with a large tip and mint, make dots all over the brown nails. Next, dip the tool in some brown polish and place dots such that these cover the top portion of each mint dot. For the owl designs on thumb and ring fingernail, draw two dots of brown for eye balls, followed with two smaller mint dots inside these eye balls. Now, put brown dots inside the mint pupils. Make the beak using a brush and brown, followed with pointy eyebrows. Now make dots in the region surrounding the eyes. Seal with a top coat.

16. Neon owl nail tutorial

Apply a base coat of any color that you want. Press down the ring reinforcers towards the base of each nail to create owl designs. Paint two coats of brown on all the nails. Use different shades and a brush to create the semi circular patterns on each nail. Fill the insides too. While the paint is still wet, peel off the reinforcers. For the eyes, use a dotting tool and white to make dots. Create black pupils inside. For the spots on the chest of each owl, use different colors as you like. For the beaks, press triangular diamante at the center. Seal with a top coat prior to doing this.

An owl nail art with polka dots looks pretty and is one of my favorites too. For this art, start by applying a base coat of any light shade on all nails (Stranger Tides), except thumb that has to be painted using black (Charcoal Cheer). For the owl, use a brush and the same base color in light to make the form of the eyes. Dry and then using white, draw two eye balls, followed with black pupils. Create a yellow beak and some heart shapes on the chest. Make two hairy patterns on either sides of the owl’s eyes. For the other nails, use a dotting tool and make polka dots in intense pink and green and yellow.

18. Cool blue owl nail tutorial

Apply a base coat of white on all nails except the ring nail that has to be painted with a clear coat polish. Dry. Using a dotting tool, make blue polka dots as shown. For the owl, press down a ring reinforcer on the nail and apply a coat of blue. Let the nail dry and then peel off the reinforcer to reveal a negative space. For the chest, make a semi circular design in white and make blue dots to show feathers. Using a dotting tool and yellow, make eyeballs and black pupils. Create an orange beak just below the border of the semi circle and you are done!

Owl nail art designs like the one shown are chic to look and easy to do, even at home! Start by applying a base coat of chocolaty brown on all nails. Dry. Using a brush and green, create two big circles that join at the center. Use a dotting tool and white to create the eye balls, followed with black pupils. Make the feet and beak with yellow. Use a brush to make feather designs using lilac. Create the wings in green. Seal with a top cot.

Apply a base coat of light or baby blue, like Dykh-Tau on all nails. Create the golden half moons on index and pinkie. For the rest, make owls in shades of purple, green and blue. Follow the same steps as are listed in the above points to create the body, the chest, feathers, eyeballs and beak. Use golden polish to make the eye balls unlike in other points. Seal with a top coat.

Start by painting a base coat of nude and let the nails dry. Now, paint the nails with any dark tone as you need. Dry. Use teal blue polish and a dotting tool to draw the owls head and wings at the sides. Take lime green and make two dots to resemble eyes and beak. Make dots using the same color in the tummy of the owl. Make claws with the same shade. Now, take some black and make small dots inside the lime green dots to resemble feathers. Apply a top coat to seal the design.
